As her emotions intensify, particularly her burgeoning feelings for a fellow student, Anja, so do her powers, leading to dangerous and surreal occurrences. Trier masterfully blends genres, creating a tense, atmospheric narrative that keeps viewers on edge. The cinematography is stunning, capturing the stark beauty of Norway while accentuating the film's eerie, unsettling tone.
